Mattar

When creating the brand identity for Mattar Jewelers , the precious task was to translate the legacy of one of Bahrain’s oldest natural pearl families into a visual language that could carry their story into the future.

Natural pearls are among nature’s rarest treasures. Only around one in 10,000 wild oysters will reveal a pearl, and only a handful possess the beauty worthy of becoming fine jewelry. Every pearl is completely unique, shaped slowly by nature and impossible to replicate.

That philosophy became the foundation of the brand.

Every design decision, from the identity and storytelling to the tone of voice, was built around patience, rarity, craftsmanship, and a profound respect for the sea that has sustained six generations of the Mattar family since 1850.

Also, a huge shift to do was to abandon the classic red color of the traditional pearl fabric, and to introduce the blue - representing, of course, the magic Bahraini sea.
